We recently collaborated with the genius team at “gus” to produce an Out-of-Home campaign for Back Market, a market for refurbished tech devices. The idea centered around the release of the new Apple iPhone. Sexy and discreet billboards featuring a green iPhone-like device teased the idea of a new, more sustainable phone coming soon.
With no logo but Apple-like branding, one could assume it was an Apple ad. After the release of Apple’s iPhone on September 12th, the billboards were replaced featuring refurbished iPhone’s from Back Market. Rather clever.
The media buy was global and huge. An Oculus take-over and placements around Times Square and Penn Station in NYC, along with placements in Paris, London and Madrid. The OOH campaign was accompanied by a film produced by Jenn Hart at Gus along with a stunt with tech influencers to help tease the idea. A truly multimedia campaign. You can read more about it through the link in our stories. This was an extra special one for us given our other home base is in Paris and our pre-existing connection to the French brand.
